I have always been passionate about helping others reach their potential, whether in the pool, the classroom or the boardroom. My leadership journey began at Mahamaya Girls College in Kandy, where serving as Deputy Games Captain and Senior Prefect, and excelling as a swimmer and athlete, instilled in me the values of teamwork, perseverance, and leading by example.
I went on to earn a BBM from Bangalore University, India, and an MBA from Anglia Ruskin University, UK. However, my seven years of teaching in the UK at Farnham Common Infant School and Farnborough Secondary School gave me deep appreciation for resilience, empathy, and the importance of nurturing potential in every individual.
At Footsteps Preschool, I am committed to ensuring that these values guide our strategic vision. I believe that the best leaders combine sound business judgement with genuine compassion—and that is the philosophy I bring to my role as Director.
